Top 5 Most Anticipated Games Post E3 2014

It’s that time of year when gamers from all walks of life are glued to various E3 live streams and highlight reels . As the expo progresses, counters for pre-orders start spinning like crazy and cash pours from bank accounts like sweat from the brow of a teenage you on that MW2 nuke worthy kill streak. Yeah I went there (sorry)!

I’ve not been able to sit at my laptop soaking up as much of E3 as I would have liked, however, I’ve definitely had my taste buds tantalized with some awesome looking games. For me, this is the year when ‘next gen’ comes to life. I’m going to give you a quick run down of my top 5 eagerly anticipated releases post E3. In true Bullseye style:

In 5: Fifa 15 – Release date to be confirmed for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3.

For some reason, my love for Fifa has been rekindled this year. Subconsciously, I think it’s probably to do with Liverpool’s return to pass and move; more entertaining style of football and me wanting to get as close to reproducing that as I can. I know I’ve just taken a gamble announcing where my heart lies, but hopefully you’ll stick with me and read on! Back in the day (and we’re talking 10 years ago) I was Pro Evo through and through. As the years went by and more of my mates banged on about Fifa, it was only a matter of time before I caved, and man did it feel good. In the recent generations, Fifa Ultimate Team has captivated millions and created a behemoth community where players are vying to be the best, one pack at a time…me included. I very much look forward to picking up my pre-order, mainly in hope that the cashier of my local GAME store hands me the case and utters 3 simple words; “FEEL THE GAME”!

OOOOOOooooh you beauty!

In 4: Rise Of The Tomb Raider – Released 2015 with platforms to be confirmed.

The 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider by Crystal Dynamics was absolutely immense. I remember not long after getting stuck in, I was having flashbacks of a 12 year old me sitting in front of my PlayStation laying eyes on Lara Croft for the first time. 2013’s reboot had that same gritty, original Tomb Raider feel which I grew up on. It had action, puzzles, suspense, and most of all it had character. For that, Crystal Dynamics; I thank you! Although I’ve only seen the teaser trailer for 2015’s Rise Of The Tomb Raider, that’s all I need to part with a pre-order deposit.

In 3: Alien: Isolation – Released October 2014 for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The last 2 years of my gaming life have been centered around Horror titles. From Slender: The Arrival to Amnesia The Dark Descent; and from Among The Sleep to Outlast. Survival Horror is something I can’t get enough of. A well developed Horror game played in the right environment will provoke emotions which get the heart racing and senses kicked into overdrive. I love it! I don’t care that at points they have me screaming like a 5 year old girl. I don’t care that I’ve gone through so many pairs of trousers I’ve lost count. I care for the experience! Hopefully Creative Assembly, the team developing Alien: Isolation have this experience nailed to a tee.  After hearing about the game and checking out the trailer, I get the feeling it’s going to be a 2014 Survival Horror smash hit! It really does seem that Creative Assembly have gone back to 1979 and the roots of the Alien movie.

In 2: Evolve – Released October 2014 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Evolve is my definition of gaming Rock n’ Roll! A shooter brought to us by the makers of Left 4 Dead (2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios) with a unique formula to excite the masses. Evolve sees 4 hunters taking on 1 monster (all player controllable) in a scrap on a far away alien planet in a futuristic setting. The main reason this title excites me is due to the fresh twist on the standard multiplayer game modes we’re so used to. Team work will be key and I can predict many a comical and competitive moment online with friends. If you play as the monster, simply use your animal instincts to kill your puny human enemies. Choose to play as a hunter, then pick your class (from Trapper, Support, Medic & Assault) wisely to team up and take the beast down! Unlocks, upgrades and perks will help along the way. Exciting times!

In 1: The Evil Within – Released October 2014 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

This is it! My pick of the bunch. I want a game that will scare the living heck out of me. A game that will have me in cold sweats, clenching my buttocks and screaming for my mummy. Developed by; and who many would refer to as ‘The Godfather’ of Survival Horror, Shinji Mikami the creator of the Resident Evil series brings us The Evil Within. The story follows Detective Sebastian Castellanos investigating the scene of a gruesome mass murder. Sebastian and his partners experience a mysterious and powerful force. Sebastian is ambushed and knocked unconscious. Upon awakening, he finds himself in a deranged world where hideous creatures wander among the dead! Sebastian embarks on a frightening journey to unravel what’s behind the evil force. Threats can appear at any time with corridors, walls, doors and even entire buildings change around you. Anxiety & tension levels are pushed to the limits as you frantically explore the game’s world. BRING IT ON!

So there it is; my top 5 most anticipated games after this years E3 Expo. What are your thoughts? Drop a comment or catch us on Twitter and Facebook and share with us your top 5.

Rainbow Six Siege for me, loved the olds ones and sick of COD’S same old same old gameplay.

Yeah it does look pretty funky. I have one eye firmly on it although it missed out on my top 5. I bought GHOSTS 4 months ago and kid you not it’s still unwrapped! The good ole COD days I feel are gone :,(
